INTRODUCTION Do things like unemployment, discrimination, rising crime, and an uncaring society make life seem hopeless? Do the relationships you have with family members and friends bring deep satisfaction? Are there things from your past that you would like to forget but they still nag at your conscience? Jesus, who lived almost 2000 years ago among people who faced similar problems, made the extraordinary claim that only He could provide a solution to mankind’s greatest problems. He said: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me." (John 14:6 NASB) Jesus promised that those who followed Him would: "…receive many times as much at this time and in the age to come, eternal life."
